“What’s The Weather Today?”
The M&A phase is exciting, chaotic and uncertain at the same the need for public relations is critical, and the need to know what the world is saying (and thinking) about you is crucial. We call this “getting a weather report”…..turn on the news and you know if its sunny, rainy, or just cloudy….once you know this you can prepare for the day accordingly.
All of this is done via the web and again touching those places where the nine audiences we called out in Start-up phase congregate at, however, there is a twist here, and that is that the green energy company must know and monitor the pulse of all those involved and those who will be impacted by an M&A transaction.
This is done today using “uber analytics”. Its almost like starting over when this phase happens. From a branding and marketing perspective, it’s time to take a look back at what tactics have been effective for all stake holders, and create a new plan for the future. It’s time to redefine the brand with a new set of assets and a new approach:
- “Rebranding”
- New website
- New corporate assets
